2011 MOUNTAINTOP COMBO INVITATIONAL

The Preston High Cross Country team would like to invite you to the Mountaintop Combo
Invitational. The "Mountaintop Combo" is a unique invitational that judges the top cross country program in the Mid-Atlantic area. This is accomplished by adding the boys and girls team scores together to get a combined school score.

When: Tuesday, September 27, 2011

Where: The Mountaintop Combo Invitational will take place at Preston High School in Kingwood,
West Virginia. The campus of Preston High overlooks the Allegheny Front and the Cheat River Valley.
The course is challenging with a mixture of flats, meadows, hills, and wooded trails. The course starts
and finishes inside “Knights Stadium” and is very viewer friendly. The Preston High Cross Country
Course will serve as the site of the Region I AAA Championship.

Records: Course and meet record holders are Mikias Gelagle of Eleanor Roosevelt (16:13.50 - 2005)

Location: Camp Pioneer 4-H Camp
Date: Saturday, September 10^th, 2011
Event Times: Varsity Girls - 10:00amCombined JV - 11:30am
Varsity Boys - 10:45amAwards Ceremony - 12:15pm
Entry Fee: A $80.00 entry fee will be assessed for two varsity teams; $40.00 for one
varsity team; or $5.00 per individual. There are no charges for JV.
Course Description: 5000 meters.
Concessions: A concession stand will be provided by Elkins High Boosters.
T-Shirts: There will be Forest Festival Invitational T-Shirts available for sale.
Coaches Packet: These will be available at the meet site on arrival. They will
contain meet directions, course maps, and scoring materials.
Scoring will be done on Hy-tek.

COURSE:Begins and finishes on grass. The course includes the trails of the Claud E. Kitchens Outdoor Education Center and a 200 meter stretch on a gravel lane.

George Washington High School wishes to extend an invitation to your High School and Middle School Cross Country Teams to participate in the 3rd G.W.H.S. Invitational. The meet will be held at Meadowood Park in Tornado on Thursday September 29, 2011. This course is very spectator friendly. Close Parking will be limited. The meet will be sanctioned by the S.S.A.C.

Only the top seven(7) on your team will be scored. You may enter as many runners as you wish, but all runners after the top seven will be removed from scoring and team scores will be re-added.
Hy-Tek Scoring will be used, and we need the names of your runners with your entry form. Scratches, changes, additions and deletions will be allowed at the check-in table the day of the race. Entries must be sent to www.timetoenter.com by 5:00 pm on Monday September 26, 2011.
