Glide Technique - A Practical Way to Throw Far

Learn how to throw farther, utilizing a practical technique that an average high school athlete can learn and duplicate. This clinic will benefit all throwers and coaches from beginners to more advanced throwers. Glide technique will be broken down position by position so the athlete and coach will have a clear concept of how a correct throw is performed and the proper sequence of positions. Instruction will consist of lecture and demonstration with time also given to the athletes and coaches to practice throwing. Additionally, we will cover weight training, general conditioning, drills to improve technique and mental preparation.

Things to Bring:

Lawn chair, pencil and paper, outdoor shotput (some will be available to use). We will also have equipment for sale. Water and sports drinks will be provided.

Cost: $39.00 per athlete or coach, make checks payable to Big A Track & Field. Pre-registration is recommended. Please return bottom portion with payment.

Clinic presented by Nick Agoris a long time throws coach in the Baltimore Metro Area. Nick has coached Maryland high school State Champion and record holder Emily Vannoy, Maryland private school record holder Mariah Young, Carroll County shot put record holder and national ranked hammer and weight thrower Brendon Morales as well as AAU age group champions and all Americans Amanda Murphy, Lee Dutow and Masters age group all American in the weight pentathlon Lee Macabe. Nick also placed second at the 2009 Masters Indoor Championship in the under 50 age group.
