The entry form for the Woodward Relays will be on www.directathletics.com. You'll need to get a password for your team before entering. Don't wait until the last minute. If you are a private school, you must be approved to compete against the public schools. If you aren't sure, please chek with your athletic director.

2008 Carlos Akers Memorial
Cabell Midland would like to invite all schools to the 2008 Carlos Akers Memorial on Friday, April 4th, High Schools from WV, Ohio, &Kentucky will be competing this year. Cabell Midland has a 9 lane Seal Flex rubberized surface, which was recently re-surfaced. All jumping areas are Seal Flex rubberized surfaces &the throws areas have oversized concrete pads. We have the FinishLynx electronic timing system, so all times and places will be accurate. We want all teams to have a great meet experience at Cabell Midland and we will do everything possible to achieve this goal.

“Battlefield Blast” Track and Field Invitational,
Saturday, April 5, 2008, 10 a.m. start
This meet offers:
·Added events will include a distance relay (400, 800, 1200, 1600) and a sprint
relay (200, 200, 400, 800). Both events are scoring events. Plus, we will hold a
JV 4 x 400 relay.
· Multiple Awards for athletes and teams
Team trophies will be awarded to first and second place teams, boys and girls,
plus individual awards for the top six finishers in each event. There will be
special awards presented to the winners of the 3,200 meter run, high jump, 800
meter run, distance relay, and 1600 meter run.

track meet in the state of Maryland. We are limiting this meet to the
first 15 schools that respond with their entry fee. We run events that differ
from other meets in the area including the 3000m and 1500m, in honor of
influential track supporters, athletes, and coaches. We give out a huge number
of awards to our participants! There will be great concessions, T-shirts, and

I am writing to invite you to attend what I hope will become an annual tradition at Thomas Johnson High School. On March 29th, we will be hosting the 1st annual Patriot Invitational at Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, MD. We will be limiting the meet to the first 15 teams to respond and the meet is sanctioned through MPSSAA.
We are planning to offer a different opportunity than many other meets in the state. We will be replacing several of the tradition events with a few other popular ones. Many of your teams may be pursuing entry into the Penn Relays in the DMR or SMR so they will be part of our schedule of events. We will also be using FAT for all running events.

In an effort to assist coaches and promote the sports of Track & Field and
Cross Country, a new organization has been started that is designed for
T&F and CC Coaches throughout the state.
It is the mission of the West Virginia Track Coaches Assocation (WVTCA) to
provide a place for Track & Field and Cross Country coaches from all
levels of track & field and from all areas of the state to communicate,
share ideas, promote, and be recognized. As Track & Field coaches, we need
to be proactive in promoting our sport, our athletes, and ourselves. The
WVTCA is dedicated to this idea. We seek to recognize the accomplishments
of our coaches and communicate these successes whenever possible.
